The exhibition Along the Ebro River Basin, organized on the occasion of the Centenary of the Confederación Hidrográfica del Ebro (CHE), can be visited at La Casona de Reinosa until February 1. After that date, the exhibition will continue its tour with a new stop in Miranda de Ebro.

Those who visit in these final weeks will find a visual, participatory exhibition designed for all audiences, which allows them to understand how a river basin is managed and why water is a key element for the territory and society.
One of the main attractions of the tour is the screening at the end of two unique audiovisual materials. On the one hand, the excerpt from the CHE Centenary documentary, Along the Ebro River Basin, of twelve minutes that summarizes the hundred years of history of the Confederation. On the other hand, the screening of two unpublished historical films, shot in 1926 and 1929, with scenes filmed in the sources of the Ebro, in Fontibre, where, among others, the engineer Manuel Lorenzo Pardo appears, and fragments of the construction of the Ebro reservoir, from the documentary collections of the CHE.
The exhibition also proposes experiencing water management through interactive games on touch screens, which present the visitor with three real situations: the management of a reservoir, a flood, and a drought. These simulations allow one to understand the complexity of making technical and social decisions to guarantee fair and safe management of the basin.
Along the Ebro River Basin is a traveling and dynamic exhibition that adapts to each location that hosts it. In the case of Reinosa, the tour incorporates specific elements of the territory, such as a model owned by the CHE linked to a hydraulic infrastructure in the region, an exhibition panel dedicated to the region’s relationship with the Confederation and water management, and a display case with objects of popular culture and local heritage.
This adaptation makes each stop a unique experience, different from the previous one. The part of the tour linked to Reinosa and Alto Campoo is part of this specific stage of the exhibition and is not reproduced in the same way in other destinations.
The exhibition is complemented by the Centenary Encounters, which will take place on January 15 in La Casona and which expand the proposal with a space for dialogue on water, the territory, and its history.
