SUMMARY:VITORIA-GASTEIZ Centennial Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Vitoria-Gasteiz\, recognized as the European Green Capital in 2012\, is an example of the integration of nature\, city\, and sustainability. Located at the gateway to the Green Belt\, the Ataria Interpretation Center offers a unique view of the Salburua wetlands\, one of the most valuable wetlands in the northern peninsula. This environment of high ecological value connects the city with the river landscapes of the Ebro basin\, creating a space where water\, biodiversity\, and environmental awareness are interrelated. \n\nAtaria is more than just an outreach center. It is a meeting point for environmental education\, citizen participation\, and scientific research on water management and wetland conservation. The Confederación Hidrográfica del Ebro (CHE) maintains close collaboration with Vitoria-Gasteiz and the Salburua area\, promoting river restoration projects and raising awareness about the sustainable use of water resources. \n\nThe CHE centenary traveling exhibition at Ataria invites visitors to journey through the history of Ebro management\, exploring how cooperation between administrations and citizens has enabled the protection of water-related ecosystems and guaranteed a balance between urban development and natural conservation. In this context\, Vitoria-Gasteiz presents itself as a model city that has integrated the river and wetlands into its identity\, demonstrating that sustainability is the path to the future.

SUMMARY:MIRANDA DE EBRO Centennial Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Miranda de Ebro is a city marked by the river that gives it its name. Located on the border between Castilla y León and País Vasco\, the Ebro has been a natural frontier throughout history\, but also a place of encounter\, exchange and development. The medieval bridge\, the old factories and the urban structure itself testify to the fundamental role of water in the local identity and in the daily life of its inhabitants. \n\nThe crossing of the Ebro River has boosted the economy\, industry\, and mobility\, turning Miranda into a strategic communications hub and a benchmark for water management in the basin. The city has experienced historic floods\, transformed its riverbanks\, and adapted to the challenges of modern water management. \n\nMiranda de Ebro’s relationship with the Confederación Hidrográfica del Ebro dates back to the early 20th century\, with the regulation of water flows and the improvement of infrastructure to protect the city and guarantee its water supply. Today\, Miranda continues to be an example of coexistence with the river and the integration of public water management into urban and social development.

The city and its surroundings have always been linked to water management\, both in everyday life and in the industrial and social memory of the Campoo region. From reservoir regulation to the glassmaking and metallurgical tradition\, the Ebro has been an engine of development and a central element of Reinosa’s identity. \n\nThe relationship between Reinosa and the CHE is historic.
